Tribute to Star—1993-2006

Phyllis, a longtime rescue volunteer, writes:
"Last week I had to have Star put to sleep. It was almost 13 years to the day in June 1993 on a beautiful, bright sunny day that I picked him up from Penny Gaylord, his breeder, and brought him home. He was the best puppy ever, from day one. Smart, affectionate, eager to please. It was a wonderful 13 years. He had the most beautiful eyes, you could see your soul reflected in there. I'm still having a difficult time, even though I knew for the past six months this was coming."
