Meet the Dogs

Here they are—an engaging and wide-ranging array of "gentle giants" who:

Our Rescue Dogs page provides names and photographs for the Pyrenees currently posted on Petfinder.com. Just click on each dog's name or photo for detailed information—a link to the NGPR application form is provided with each dog's description. Every dog sponsored by NGPR has been fostered for a minimum of two weeks, is fully vetted and obtains a health certificate from a veterinarian before being allowed to travel. NGPR stands by its adoptions and in the event an adoption does not succeed, NGPR will facilitate the return of the dog to the rescue group making the placement.

The Happy Endings page is just what it says—a series of stories, all with Pyrs as the protagonists, and all featuring live-happily-ever-after endings. There are some really heart-warming descriptions (and photos!) here, and plenty of chuckles, too. Don't miss the special Couch Potatoes feature.

Our Tributes page consists of loving tributes to departed Pyrs, written by the pets' owners. These are poignant and touching accounts of life with a special Pyrenees, and the donations that owners make in memory of their Pyrs help to fund rescue work.
